GETTING TO THE ISLAND OF ISCHIA

Ischia is served by several ferry and hydrofoil companies. You can depart from Pozzuoli, Naples Molo Beverello or Naples Porta di Massa.

Pozzuoli can be reached via the Tangenziale di Napoli, exit via Campana. Only Medmar and Caremar ferries to Ischia Porto or Casamicciola leave from this port. The crossing takes about 1 hour.

Molo Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa are in the commercial port of Naples, the two docks are close but not very close. So it is better to tell the taxi driver which is the exact port of departure.

Alilauro, Snav and Caremar hydrofoils leave from Molo Beverello. The crossing takes approximately 50 minutes.

Caremar and Medmar ferries leave from Calata Porta di Massa. The crossing takes approximately 90 minutes.
Only the ferries allow non-residents of Campania to take a car or motor vehicle on board.

HOW TO GET TO THE SORGETO GARDEN
Once you have landed on the island, there are 3 ways to get to the hotel:

1. By car/scooter

Both in the port of Ischia and in the port of Forio there are several car and scooter hire companies. Be careful, however, especially in high season, we advise you to book your rental in advance to avoid the risk of finding nothing available.

We recommend that you follow the only main road on the island to avoid the complications of using a navigator:

From Ischia Porto:

– Take Via Svincolo Porto in the direction of Via Baldassarre Cossa/SP270;

– Follow SP270 in the direction of Via Provinciale Lacco – 10 min (5.1 km)

– Continue along Via Provinciale Lacco until you reach Forio.

– Follow the signs for Panza.

Cross the village and you will find yourself in front of the restaurant/pub “Il Ritrovo”. Follow the road to the right of the restaurant and then take the first road on the right. The sign will say ‘Baia di Sorgeto’, continue for about 5 minutes and you will find your destination on the left.
The total journey time is about 35 minutes.

From the port of Forio:

– Go south-west on Via Cristoforo Colombo/Via Marina/SP270 towards Via Soprascaro.

– Continue along SP270 for 2.1 km;

– Turn left into Via Giovanni Mazzella/SP270. Continue for 2.7km;

– Turn slightly right and continue along the SP270 following the signs for Panza.

Drive through the village and you will find yourself in front of the restaurant/pub ‘Il Ritrovo’. Follow the road to the right of the restaurant and then take the first road on the right. The sign will say ‘Baia di Sorgeto’, continue for about 5 minutes and you will find the destination on your left, the journey to the facility is quite short, about 15 minutes.

However, the port of Forio only serves hydrofoils, not ferries, so it is not possible to take your own car or scooter on board.

From the port of Casamicciola:

– Take Via Principessa Margherita in the direction of Piazza Marina/SP270 44 s (170 m)
– Take Via Provinciale Lacco – 8 min (3.8 km) until you reach Forio.

Continue along Via Provinciale Panza following the signs for Panza.
Cross the village and you will find yourself in front of the restaurant/pub “Il Ritrovo”. Follow the road to the right of the restaurant and then take the first road on the right. Continue for about 5 minutes and you will find your destination on the left.
Journey time to Sorgeto Garden about 25 minutes.

2. By bus

Near the port of disembarkation there is a bus stop, to reach us take bus no. 1 or CS and get off at Panza, Forio, PUB IL RITROVO stop (about 35 min. from Ischia Porto / about 30 min. from Casamicciola / about 10 min. from Forio). From the bus stop, walk downhill on the right for about 10 minutes.
Your destination is on the left.

3. By taxi

There are taxi ranks near the embarkation points and the destination you should give is Sorgeto Garden, in Sorgeto (Panza), Via Fumerie 32, the road that leads to Sorgeto Bay. Please ask first about the cost of the journey and remember that the municipalities have fixed fares to reach the different parts of the island.
The cheapest trip is from Forio, due to its proximity to the facility, followed by Casamicciola and Ischia Porto. For your convenience, we recommend that you book a taxi before you arrive or contact us directly.
